The Montrose Vikings are a community based junior basketball club centred around the township of Montrose, nestled in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges.

Our players are mostly drawn from the primary schools in Montrose and surrounding areas.

We are a small club and our focus is on participation and enjoyment. We cater to players of all ages, skills and abilities.

Our Goals

While success on the court is rewarding and sought after, we believe the role of our club is to foster friendships and develop key positive qualities in our players.

Therefore, as much as possible, we try to keep teams together as they progress through the age levels. By doing this our players develop strong and lasting friendships and learn valuable lessons about teamwork, interdependence, reliability and responsibility.

We further believe that if we get that right, on court success will follow.
